On the plus side, this huge, German-style beerhall is impressive architecturally, with high, big-beamed ceilings, thick wood tables and shiny, copper vats in the brewery. The waitresses wear cute dirndls and the service is prompt. The food is passable and the beer is good.On the other hand, the mic-headset-wearing hostess will prevent you from waltzing cheerfully into the dining area and joining your friends or choosing your own table- it's all very nitpicky and you must wait while she discusses logistics with command central. That level of organization and stuffiness can be forgiven here in Japan but what irks a beer lover is the fact that they do not let you sit outside on a beautiful spring or fall day in their beer garden! They have a perfect, central courtyard with nice, big tables and chairs and umbrellas but the place is never in use and they absolutely refuse your request (with no explanation given) to take your Weizen and enjoy it in the fresh air. They even have another open-air zone next to the street that I believe is called the beer garden which seems to never be set up for outdoor dining. Was zum Teufel? (what the deuce?) Two demerits for you party poopers!

We were a bit over Asian food at every meal, and felt like some luxury, so chose this restaurant. Expecting Italian food, we were not disappointed to find the menu was French.Views from this venue are splendid, the tables well space, and the service impeccable. We had the 8000 and the 10000 yen degustation menus. Very classy- great presentation, tasty, well balanced. The wine menu was good, but pricey
