Trails End is a full service family restaurant featuring terrific food at reasonable prices. We offer everything from Crab Legs and Steaks to Wings and Burgers. Kids Menu, Full Bar, casual atmosphere.
We always stop here a few times a year when visiting our camp. My husband really likes the wings and I enjoy the club sandwich and cole slaw. That's what we had today. Although the food was really good (as usual), our service wasn't that great today. We had a different waitress this time that seemed distracted or too overwhelmed (although it wasn't very busy yet). She never checked back after giving us our food until we were ready to leave.Karen, I am sorry your service was not up to par, we have had some staff changes this year. We will be working on that in the hopes that your next visit will live up to the expectations you have for our restaurant. Come back again... ! Susie

While vacationing last year in Cooks Forest, all the locals suggested I go to the Knotty Pines -- it was well worth the trip! And I re-visited the Knotty Pines at least 10 times over the course of 2 weeks. This place is everything a local bar/restaurant should be. Great, inexpensive drinks. Football weekends (with Free food). Music and dancing -- the people are very friendly and everyone I asked danced with me.The food is very good, and exceeded my expectations. The signature Burger is rated at 1 full pound -- no way -- it's got to be 1 1/2 pounds easy, and very tasty. I took have of it home for my dog, who would give the Knotty Pines a 5 star rating also. And don't miss the wings, full size wings -- I could only finish 1/2 of the 12 wings I ordered, and they naturally come in a variety of flavors, all the ones I tasted were good. All of the food I've ordered has been very good -- sandwiches. We're not talking about fine dining, but this place ranks on the top of the list of the best bar/restaurants I've ever been to. It's crowed with both locals, bikers, and vacationers to Cooks Forest. This is truly a cross-section of real America. In summers there is a wonderful outdoor area, and the place is hopping. All of the people I've met there, including the owner Buster, are super friendly and there to serve you. If you're ever in Cooks Forest (and you should go, it's gorgeous) you have to visit and frequent the Knotty Pines -- pronounced by locals "naughty" pines :)

My wife and I Stopped in for a drink just to check it out. They were just winding down from lunch. Sat at bar. Owners friendly, barmaid very nice. Decided to have half order of jumbo wings that were on special. Jumbo wings were full wings so you got 12 when I anticipated 6. Blazin Berry. Perfectly cooked, crispy. And for $7.95. Definitely be back.
