The positive: We were seated immediately, and our waitress was very pleasant and positive. She refilled our drinks, and she came back frequently to check on us. TAverage: Steak Sanndwich and homemade chips. The sandwich advertises smothered in onions and mushrooms. There were very few of either on the sandwich. The sandwich was supposed to be hot, but came out barely warm. We expected the homemade chips to be freshly made and hot, but they were nothing special, and tasted like store bought kettle potato chips. The Cobb Salad was good, and was more food than I could eat.Negative: It took a 45 minutes to get our food. As we were waiting we saw another table asking for the food to go because their hour lunch break was over, and they did not receive their food in time to enjoy it in the restaurant. The final straw was when we paid with a debit card their was a convenience fee added to the final bill, AFTER we had reviewed the bill before paying. This may seem insignificant, but we would have paid the bill in cash if we had been aware of the fee. We asked about how we would have been aware of the fee before we paid. We were told there was supposed to be a sign on the register and on the front door. We paid our waitress, and did not pay at the register so we would not have seen that sign if it had been there. We checked both the register and the front door, and there were no signs posted about the fee.If you don't mind waiting for average tasting food, then by all means enjoy your visit at The Oven. However, just know there are several other excellent small town restaurants in the area.

We've been here several times since they remodeled and we continue to be unimpressed with certain, important aspects of this restaurant. I will try and explain the good and the bad, thus the average rating. The GoodThe ambiance they've created is very nice. The outdoor patio with deer and other wildlife visiting the property is enjoyable. Large windows allow wildlife viewing from inside as well. Multiple large screen TV's showing various sports shows are well placed for your viewing pleasure. The fact it is locally owned by a long time community member is a plus.The DisappointingWe have yet to find a menu offering we have found to be anything other then so-so. The meat part of the wings, in our opinion, has been dry no matter what flavor of spice, wet or dry, we have ordered. I've also never ordered chicken wings that didn't come with celery and/or carrot sticks. Chicken tacos, tasteless. Sampler platter, hit or miss. etc.What is really surprising is that the owners also own other restaurants in town and I can't recall receiving a bad meal at any of them. We keep going back expecting it to improve and it hasn't happened yet.This next statement is more a pet peeve of mine. If you pay with a credit card they will charge you a surcharge ( It's been awhile but I believe it was 3%). No where could I find this stated on the menu or listed anywhere else at this establishment. I only realized it when the total charged to my card was different then what was on the bill when it was given to me. It just seemed sneaky to me. When the food prices are comparable to a BWW and then you charge an additional surcharge for plastic- well it does effect how often we go there. And remember, this is while the food quality isn't equal to a BWW.At the end of the day we will keep trying Club 24 and hope they figure it out as I really want to see them be successful.

We went here for dinner recently to celebrate a milestone birthday for a relative. My husband had the burrito, which tasted good and I had the grilled chicken, which was also good. Service was good too. I'm giving it Average because I don't think it rates as Very Good but I'd put it somewhere in between. Would go here again.
