We visited the Castaway's Waterfront Bar and Grill last week while we were staying at a cottage in Angola, New York. We had small children with us and eight adults. Even though this restaurant is rated the second best restaurant in Angola, NY, I would still give it an average rating because the physical plant of the restaurant was very worn and dirty. The food was decent bar food and the view of Lake Erie is very nice, but if the bar was compared to a Buffalo waterfront restaurant it would rate very low.

Friendly bar tenders, local crowd, inside & outside seating during warm weather. Pub food. 200 foot from Lake Erie & Beach. Huge fireworks display on July 3rd.

On our way from Chautauqua Lake to Buffalo and looked for a beachside restaurant. Found Turtle Joe's in Angola. The food was good and wait staff was friendly. I had the Phllly Cheese Steak sandwich (different from what you get in Philadelphia but good) and my wife had a salad with chicken. If you are looking for a place to have lunch with a beach view, Turtle Joe's is your place.
