I have a hearing disability, and when I arrived at Tavira on a Saturday night I realized that the main dining room was so noisy that I wouldn't be able to hear my guest. The gentleman in charge very thoughtfully organized a table in the bar area, which was great. And so was the meal, which that evening was a duck special. I've eaten at Tavira at other times and always found it excellent. What an amazing review! I really appreciate all your kind comments, I will be sharing this with my staff⦠Thanks again for coming and we look forward to see you next time !

It has been here forever and tends to attract an older crowd, which also means that it's relatively quiet. Service was quite good--not rushed and plenty of time to talk. The seafood dishes were very good--scallops, shrimp and combination with lobster--and all entrees come with a small salad. Chocolate mousse was rich, creamy and delicious. BE AWARE--the discount coupon is now in the Thursday Post Living Local section, not the Friday Weekend section. Great compromise for meeting with friends from Columbia or Baltimore.

Just outside Costco (upper level), a few stores down on the right, Nando's Peri-Peri was a nice new surprise! Staff were very knowledgeable regarding dietary restrictions. Manager even came over to check on me after food was served! I just tried 2 light appetizers & they we're a great combination; the potatoes were a good balance to the spicy roasted veggies. Total was only about $7. Place was clean & new-looking, not crowded on a weekday afternoon, but from the dim lighting, size, & decor, it looks like an evening party spot. (Clean bathroom, too! Always a nice sign.) I'll definitely be stopping in here again when I meet up with friends at the mall.
