Wicklow (Irish: Cill Mhantáin, meaning "church of the toothless one") is the county town of County Wicklow and the capital of the Mid-East Region in Ireland. Located south of Dublin on the east coast of the island, it has a population of 10,584 according to the 2016 census. The town is to the east of the N11 route between Dublin and Wexford. Wicklow is also linked to the rail network, with Dublin commuter services now extending to the town. Additional services connect with Arklow, Wexford and Rosslare Europort, a main ferry port. As a family we would highly recommend La Locandina for it's authentic wood fired Pizza which which along with its large selection of homemade Pasta is beyond excellent and a real delight to find outside of Dublin. We (Mum, Dad, 8 & 10 year olds) travelled up from Wexford last week and were delighted to find this hidden gem and look forward to enjoying many more meals here. Staff were so friendly and offered to order in squid ink pasta for us from their wholesalers which will be be taking them up on when we next visit.

Pepeâs is a great Italian restaurant which is perfect for all the family. Our two sons love their food and ask to go back regularly. All the pasta and pizza dishes are very good and authentic, while they also have a great selection of burgers and chicken dishes. Their cold San Miguel on tap is the best pint in Wicklow by a mile

This establishment is a take away only, but it's a pity it doesn't have sit down facilities. The staff, service and delivery are excellent. If you're looking for a great pizza to be delivered on time and still piping hot, Mizzonis is the place to call.
