It is the only municipality in Utrecht located south of the Lek River. Before 2002 it was part of the province of South Holland. Vianen is bordered by two major motorways leading to Utrecht: the A2 (Amsterdam-Maastricht) on its west, and the A27 (Breda-Almere) just east of the town. Both roads can be notoriously congested near Vianen during peak commute hours.

Came here from a boat in the local jachthaven. This restaurant was recommended. A simple pizza was good and not pricey. The Italian waiter was insistant that the 'specials' were worth trying. Two of the group accepted his (persistent) recommendation. They were disappointed! Served cold and quite expensive. Will not be back. The area of the place is great but there must be a better restaurant here.

Very nice Italian restaurant for pasta and pizza, everything we ordered was great except for the soup wasn't that good.Totally recommend it and I would definitely visit again. This pizza place is at one of the sides of City Plaza shopping center in Nieuwgein. The place has a modern look and feel. It is easy to get to and order pizzas. You can get them in the size you want and in different flavors. A lot of choice. They had good deals on the screens. This restaurant does not stand out positively or negatively.
