Paisano's is a small, informal place in a small strip mall. Ione is pretty quiet on a Sunday mid-afternoon so it was good to find a restaurant that was open, with help from TripAdvisor. I ordered the all-meat pizza, Cowboy Up, in an 8" personal size. It came loaded with various kinds of meat, and I mean LOADED. It was outstanding. My spouse had a sandwich which was also very good. Price was extremely reasonable. This will be my go-to place whenever we're in Ione and want to try their Jackson location as well. Highly recommended, and for people who don't like to see green things on their pizzas, remember "Cowboy Up".

This place was more than awesome! The owner even met with us and spent some talking with us, though he was busy at the time making pizzas to take to the local jail as part of a community thing that he is a part of. Genuinely great people work here.We walked into Ione while on The Great American Walkabout. They treated us well, and we were surprised by this pizza factory. It was palatial. The food was excellent, the fresh baked cookies were a surprising delightful desert, and we actually felt great after meeting the incredibly friendly staff. Thanks guys!
