Things to do in Calamba
This branch has different 'faces.' Sometimes, staff are attentive, polite, and friendly. Sometimes they're timid, looking tired, and lacks passion. But the food will definitely bring smiles to your face. Yellow Cab, as usual, offers good food - pizza, spaghetti, potato wedges, and the ice cream! Now, my stomach is looking for 'Dear Darla!'

THE GOOD: Calda Pizza is a cheaper alternative to international and local brands. The pizza's taste is similar to the popular local brand, Greenwich. They also have a variety of toppings to choose from and big sizes ideal for take-out.THE BAD: This branch of Calda has very limited dine-in space. It is so cramped, it is ideal only for groups of 2 to 6 people. The noise from other diners can be annoying after a while. Even parking space is limited. THE UGLY: Families who have senior citizens (or loved ones with disabilities) should avoid this place and drive further down for other pizza place options. Their treatment of senior citizens is just terrible!!Calda doesn't use the standard computation for senior discounts which is based on the Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010. My senior parents were shocked to find out that instead of getting the usual less 20% and less 12% EVAT discount from the total cost of the pizza, the store applied the discount on just fraction of the pizza cost. For example, an 18 inch pizza can feed a maximum of 6 people. Calda will only give a discount for the portion of 2 people. So even if my pizza-loving parents can eat an entire 18 inch pizza by themselves, they will only get a discount on their supposed share. They always assume that 6 people will eat. Incredible!! My parents left the store in a huff and bought their pizza somewhere else where the standard senior discount was given. They would not even accept a driver's license as proof of senior age, even if the Expanded Senior Citizen Act of 2010 says any government-issued ID is acceptable in the absence of a Senior Citizen's ID. The cost savings between Calda Pizza and other more popular local brands is NOT worth the aggravation of dealing with incorrect interpretation of the benefits given to senior citizens.
