Esch-sur-Alzette (Luxembourgish: Esch-Uelzecht pronounced [ˈæʒ‿ˈuə̯ltsəɕt], German: Esch-an-der-Alzette or Esch-an-der-Alzig, French: Esch-sur-Alzette) is a commune with town status in south-western Luxembourg. It is the country's second "city", and its second-most populous commune, with a population of 33,286 inhabitants. It lies in the south-west of the country, on the border with France and in the valley of the Alzette, which flows through the town. The town is usually referred to as just Esch; however, the full name distinguishes it from the village and commune of Esch-sur-Sûre which lies 45 kilometres (28 miles) further north. The country's capital, Luxembourg City, is roughly 15 km (9.3 mi) to the north-east.

I am sorry for contradicting most reviews, but I found the food in this restaurant absolutely average. It was ok, highly eatable, but nothing more than that. Also prices are average for Luxembourg standards. Quick service. I can recommend the Nepali beer.(Btw: in spite of the name, it is a standard Indian restaurant).

It was my intention to go there for dinner but turned up going for lunch and it ended up being an excellent choice!Not only because of the great menu of the day, with starter and a plate with well-spiced delicious food, with rice and naan bread.The mango lassi is also very tasty and made with real mangoes!There is a small terrace on the back and the indoor section is quite cosy, not a place for a crowd, which makes it somewhat special.Staff is French-speaking and also use English and some Luxembourgish. The restaurant also delivers if you are too lasy to go there, but give it a try and you'll certainly become a regular!Dear vitorbabrazil,Thank you very much for taking your time to review your visit to our Restaurant. Annapurna in Foetz is our most frequented indian restaurant in the area, immediately followed by Annapurna 1 in Bascharage. There's a large selection of tasty dishes, never been disappointed until now, buffet all-you-can-eat on weekdays, no problem with parking as the Aldi-parking is empty in the evening, spacious restaurant with a green view and a terrace in summer, friendly staff and music not too loud, free delivery and take out, what could you want more
