The town is on the south bank of the River Tees and is historically part of the North Riding of Yorkshire. The bridge at Yarm marked the furthest reach of tidal flow up the River Tees until the opening, in 1995, of the Tees Barrage, which now regulates river flow above Stockton. As the last bridge on the river before the sea, it was superseded by a new toll bridge opened in Stockton in 1771. The oldest part of the town, around the High Street, is situated in a loop of the river, and the newer parts of the town extend to the point where the River Leven meets the River Tees.

No reservation but was given a table straight away. Instantly greeted by the waitress and manager (?) who offered us help with the menu if necessary. Very quick service and kofta and shawarma were delicious. Weâll come again Thank you for coming to visit us at Lebaneat with your wife, we are delighted that you had a great tine and were indeed happy with the service. We are waiting for you to retrun, best wishes lebaneat.

this is our favourite restaurant in the north east, the people are beautiful and friendly, the food is excellent.we've been coming to this restaurant for a few years, the quality of food is consistent, the dining experience is always great. it is lovely to see they are doing well, i still remembered the very early stage of the restaurant, i loved it, and i love it even more now.

I love Turkish food and have eaten at plenty of Turkish restaurants all over more so in London, but Meze Lounge's food tops all Turkish restaurants, the food is absolutely spot on, great service by friendly staff, great for all the family, as I'm vegetarian there is plenty for me to choose from. Great restaurant please don't change anything.
