Finally, i have found an alternative food to the regular asia food. The oriental food, I took falafel plate, was very good and the restaurant is located at a nice place. You can sit even outside which is not common here in penang. Sure it is more expensive than asia street food but justified for the quality and quantity

Reading the reviews we didn't know where to go or not to this restaurant..... But actually I'm glad we did!!!Food was great, service was friendly and portions were more than enough.We have shared platters for starters and mains (meat one for mains) and it all tasted fresh and very nice flavors, as this food should be.If this was the std I received last night then I couldn't fault it. Only comment I would have is to make sure you order starters as starters and say you want the mains after, they brought ours all together, which wasn't a problem as it was nice to graze.If you are like us, un decided then go, you won't regret it, like we didn't.Actually better food and quality than the Shangri-La where we were stopping!!

I've not been able to get a table at Halab for several months but chance it and walked in last night with some visitors from Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. Although we had to share a long table with another group, it didn't detract from a great experience. The food was tasty, service was fast and polite, and the general atmosphere was very pleasant.Thanks for the positive review. We really appreciate it.
