Reviews on Middle Eastern food in Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir, India. The valley of Kashmir is as rich with history and political controversy as it is with culture and natural phenomena. Sample exquisitely spiced native cuisines and festive teas, then walk off your meal along the rugged trekking routes to the north. Marvel at the famous houseboats of Srinagar and take a spiritual moment to reflect at one of the many pilgrimage sites and religious shrines that dot the region. Of course, native craftsmanship makes for excellent souvenirs—carpets and textiles are an especial shopping must.

I visited today after a long time this restaurant for lunch with the hope that there would be much more improvement than before. However, there was not any difference. Service was bit slow, I ordered my favourite dish of butter chicken, however, it does not taste as expected. But there was peace, good place for rest and food and staff need to gear-up their services.
Indulge in mouth_watering and sumptuous wide range of food varieties from breakfast to dinner in a cozy ambiance at Cafe de Polo located in heart of city Polo View Srinagar . Hygiene ,quality, fresh and tasty value for money is what we are famous for.
I have visited this place twice and they serve the best food as they have maintained quality very well , I am anxiously looking forward to visit soon to enjoy my meal once again , highly recommended

Authentic Kashmiri Wazwan approved by Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation(JKTDC). Wazwan Restaurant is a unit of JKTDC. Restaurant that serves Paradise on your plate. Food as awesome as Kashmir.
We found this place quite accidentally and it was a happy surprise. It is located inside the JKTDC Hotel Heemal property and behind the main building.Ambience was great. We are vegetarians, so can only comment on the veg dishes....but we tried there seven-course meal and all the dishes were yummy. Strikingly each and every item had a unique taste (quite a different experience, as in most restaurants almost everything seems to have the same base gravy). Do try the dum aaloo....even if you are a non-vegetarian...I haven't had a better dum aaloo ever! Service was also excellent. There is a little wait time, as everything is made completely fresh.Much recommended.
