My Husband and I visited here on a Thursday evening. We arrived around 6pm. The service started out great. The staff was super helpful as we needed a few questions answered. We ordered the full Half Kafta - Half Chicken. What a feast. We brought so much home .for lunches. I found there was too much tahini sauce on the meats. Super flavourful. This came with a superb salad that I think it was Fattoush Salad, four different dips and pita bread that was half the size of the table. Made in house. Yumm! We did wait quite awhile for our bill as it got really busy with a line up out the door. Still highly recommended.

Anatolia's Gate is a fantastic Turkish food stand in an unassuming store front in Burnaby. Focused primarily on grilled meats and salads - the portions are huge.On my last visit, I had the Beyti Sarma: a skewer of ground beef and lamb kofte served with lavash bread with salads ($19). I almost burst. The Mixed Kabob ($22) is a combination of their kabobs and could feed 2 or 3 people...it's huge. The salads and sides like the Carrot Salad & Babaghannush are really exceptional. The one drawback would be the dining room itself - I really shouldn't complain but the lighting and set-up are institutional and drab. I just wouldn't want to recommend it and someone goes expecting a quaint dining room...it's not like that. BUT the food is so good...one can overlook this.
