We chose The Pistachio on the basis of TripAdvisor reviews and were not disappointed. The food was wonderful and freshly cooked, the hosts incredibly welcoming. It deserves to be full of people every night enjoying the fantastic food. It was our first meal out following our wedding and we couldnât have been happier with our choice.Thank you for your kind comments, and it is of much pleasure, knowing you chose us to spend your night out on your honeymoon, wish you best of everything in your newly shared lives, hope to see you on your first anniversary if not sooner. Edessa Restaurant in Margate is an establishment that routinely masters the art of cooking authentic Turkish cuisine. Whether you are a massive fan of Turkish and Mediterranean-inspired food, or simply sampling it for the first time, you are sure to have
We initially visited when this place first opened and we were disappointed, however we gave it the benefit of the doubt and returned last night. As we are born and bred we like to support Margateâs regeneration and hoped for a great meal! The wine was lovely however paying nearly £4 for some basic hummous smeared on a saucer with 4 slices of cucumber kind of set the tone! We order the sharing platter and at a cost of nearly £40 we expected something impressive - the chicken donee and rice was lovely however no lamb doner (they donât offer this anymore apparently but price still the same) the lamb was incredibly chewy and inedible- we left half the meat as it was poor quality. We spoke to the manager who apologised and said heâd give us a discount however turns out this was not honoured and we ended up paying full whack! Very disappointed and as an avid restaurant goer we will not return - shame but I canât see this place being open for long when there are far better quality restaurants at cheaper prices in close proximity.
