Find out what Mexican restaurants to try in San Francisco. Each of San Francisco's unique neighborhoods has its own collective personality shaped by its residents, topography and history. This diversity is one of the great hallmarks of the city, as well as its tradition for rebellion, and both make traversing San Francisco as a visitor an intriguing adventure that provides fresh discoveries for locals as well. While half of the city’s growth during the 19th century was due to the arrival of American immigrants, the balance was due to immigration from around the world. Today, the city's neighborhoods reflect this fact with their cosmopolitan flair and distinctive character.

A perfect marriage of Korean meats and Mexican burritos. What's not to love? I had the California burrito with bulgogi. It was amazing! Best burrito ever!

We made a same day reservation ( on a weekday) and I believe this helped our wait. The hostess was very personal and apologetic that we had to wait ( for only 15 minutes)and took drink orders. Just taking in the colorful, mesmerizing and somewhat bizarre decorations was really fun. We had 6 plates for 4 of us ( we were hungry)each delicious and with a unique set of flavors. We also enjoyed 2 desserts. The drinks were all made with a variety of organic and sometimes unusual ingredients but delicious. We were 2 60 yr olds and 2 30 somethings and all enjoyed the vibrant restaurant in the mission district where we were vacationing.

We were in North Beach looking for lunch and wanted something other than Italian so we stopped into Don Pisto's. It was PACKED so we decided to get food to go. We ordered a couple items and walked to the park. Highly recommend!
