I love Mexican food. I lived in Southern California for 7 years, travelled in Mexico and love the spice and the flavour. Most âMexicanâ restaurants are frankly serving up bland imitations. Jive serves what I would call fusion food. Not strictly Mexican but certainly inspired by it. We ordered way too much food. We got the nachos with guacamole and a soft shell crab quesadilla for starters. Both excellent. Quesadilla was great and spicy. They recommend 2-3 tacos per person. I would say 2 max and if you have lots of starters and say (ehem) loaded fries as a side order, 1 is probably enough. Between us we tried the duck, carne asada, brisket and fish tacos. All were excellent and highly spiced and flavoursome. But big. We did not eat desert as we had no room. We will be back and we will order more sensibly. Good stuff.

Cocina is all about Mexican and Margaritas. We serve a mixture of Mexican classics such as burritos, tacos and churros. We've not forgotten the ever popular burger, which we've given a Mexican twist. We cater for everyone at Cocina, remember it doesn't ha
Got a cocktail here before the movie and decided to eat afterwards. Cocktail was 2 for £8.00. The meal after the movie was well prepared and presented plus we were asked when we arrive if we needed the vegetarian menu. The service was quick and polite, the restaurant was casual, very clean and welcoming. There was enough choice and the portions hearty. We started by sharing Nachos and these were very well presented and tasty. A very pleasurable experience.
