What's especially appealing about Taqueria Diaz is the high quality ingredients they use. The menu is quite limited, featuring the usual Mexican dishes. No alcoholic beverages are offered. But what they do offer is very tasty indeed. Tacos seem to be popular at this place. The wet burrito could use some additional ingredients, such as rice.It's a small place with only five tables, though some are actually doubles. However, there is an outdoor dining area that helps serve the overflow customers, of which there seem to be quite a few.

We were in the area at Michigan Adventure and found this place for dinner for our large group of 13 (6 adults and 7 kids). They had very good Mexican food and margaritas. The portions were large. And it was very reasonably priced. They were a bit short staffed and the restaurant was pretty busy the day we were there, but they did their best to get our food and drinks out as quickly as was possible.

Rico's is a humble little restaurant just south of Rothbury on the west side of old Hwy. 31. It specializes in home made tamales and Mexican sides. A small building, there are several tables for in-house dining. It appears that most people order take away. Tamales cost about $1 each and can be had in quantity. Pork, chicken, and beef are available. They are delicious. We also ordered rice which was a great compliment. Perfectly done and mildly flavored with tomato, it balanced out the tamales. Perhaps the greatest treat was the bean side. Creamy refried beans with a touch of meat and a warm aftertaste beg to be gobbled up. The proprietor works the restaurant serving authentic dishes.
