This Mexican restaurant is my family's favorite. Note only is the huge selection of Mexican foods delicious and fresh, the staff is so welcoming and friendly and make sure you have a food time. Our favorite is chicken fajitas which is excellent and very plentiful!! They also have the best margaritas ever!!

PROs: Unlike some other reviewersâ experience, service was very fast, and was good. We were there on a Saturday evening which apparently is a âslowâ evening for them.Overall very reasonably priced. The pre-tax cost of three dishes and four glasses of wine was $32.The drinks are VERY reasonably priced, generous pours, decent quality. Our glasses of generic âburgundyâ wine were $2.25 apiece for a good 6-ounce pour, and though of course not top-drawer were as tasty as generic reds for which we have paid much more elsewhere.Unlike most Cumberland restaurants, there is ample on-site parking.CONS:Most of the food is not prepared fresh, is frozen and microwaved. Of our three dishes, the exception was the so-called âcocktailâ appetizer of shrimp in a marinara sauce with fresh cilantro. This was very tasty, the shrimp were large and succulent, obviously made fresh in-house. This is no doubt why it took about 12 minutes to arrive whereas the other two dishes were served in literally two minutes. Of course this one fresh dish was also the most expensive of the three. The quality of the dishes was highly variable. One was very good (see above), another (the chile rellenos) was above average, the third (the actual âspecialty of the houseâ, two beef tip burritos) was well below average. The quality of the three chile rellenos contained in the order was also variable: one suffered from freezer burn, one was OK, the third was very good. Portions were also highly variable and unrelated to price. The best value was the chiles rellenos although listed on the menu as a âside dishâ.COMMENT:From the outside the place looks like a low-life dive. So much so that we hesitated to go in. On the inside it is fine.

Stopped by on our way for a late lunch, and were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and the clean place. It was a fairly well sized place, well-lit and clean.A little too much effort into making the place look Mexican, but not bad at all.Food was well presented. Taste wasn't as authentic but very good nonetheless. Also more on the bland side.Overall, for a highway stop, this was way more than what you usually get, and the for the low price, there was definitely nothing to complain about. Will definitely recommend.
