If you are from the west coast, gotta watch Spanish-named restaurants in NYC. They come in all varieties (Columbian, Peruvian, Honduran, etc.) and few seem to be like the California-fied Mexican restaurants we have in the west. Fajitas Sunrise is a classic Mexican Restaurant in the western tradition. Food is great and plentiful. I would have given them 5 stars, if the service had been a little better.

I love this place! First, itâs been here forever. Second, ya gotta love the name and the pun. Third, the ambience is so much funâthe bar The food: very good Mexican (in my opinion). You canât possibly eat an appetizer and a main course and still have space for a dessert (Iâve never been able to eat a dessert here, but I love everything I have eaten). The menu doesnât have any surprises, but what they do make, I love. Appetizers that Iâve enjoyed include their queso fundido, stuffed jalapeños or guac & chips. Main courses that are great: many types of quesadillas, fajitas, tacos, burritos, enchiladas or chimichangas. They also offer specials, and healthy dishes or sopas, and you can get extra sides of the things you love. They have brunch specials, but thing thing I will eat one day is a dessertâbut it just never fits.

I figured to give it a try since I live near-by.Ordered the fish tacos & shrimp tacos . Extremely tasty , just wish they were a bit larger. Either way, I would just get a couple extra to satisfy my needs !! I'll go back in a second..
