This family run Mexican Restaurant is a gem just behind the Mexican grocers on the square in Walworth. Forget about the popular Lucke's in the Bay. The food here blows away the food there at a fraction of the cost. The various salsa'a are all made on site and the food is all made to order. As a result, do not expect to get your food to arrive in seconds but it is worth the wait. We go there all the time for a casual evening meal or a hearty breakfast on the weekend (tacos, not eggs). Try their daily specials such as chili rellenos. My favorite is the tacos al pastor, a pork/pineapple fusion of flavors -get them Mexican style. they have a fun selection of Mexican sodas. One down side: sometimes the tv is on at a distracting level.

I felt compelled to order Mexican food since that seemed to be Lucke's specialty, even though it was tempting to order one of the Friday fish specials. I decided to go with the chimichanga. The menu states the burrito comes with lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese, while the chimichanga comes with just lettuce and tomatoes. But just to be safe I ordered it without cheese. It was really good, but about 2/3 of the way through I saw that it was filled with cheese. Oh well - I'm not allergic to the point that I go into shock. The beans and rice were good, as were the waffle fries that a friend offered me. The prices were good, and the decor was nice. And the service was good considering we were there right in the middle of the lunch rush. But next time I'll try the fish.

We have eaten here many times and I am surprised I had not reviewed it before. It is quite inexpensive, the food is very good, and you always see local Mexicans dining there. This alone says something to me. Very good daily specials, 3.99 Margueritas on Monday and Tuesday and generally low prices. What's not to like? When iin Delavan, this is the Mexican restaurant to go to IMO.
