We ordered the mocajete. A dish with chicken, rice, cautus, cheeses, other seasonings served in a hot clay pot. This dish is rarely on the menu at other Mexican restauranrs. La Plaza had it we were pleasantly surprised. The other menu items looked good! As we are 2 days in town, hope we get back here again!

We were a group of six choosing different things from the menu. Complimentary tortilla chips and tomato salsa arrived while we waited.The food, all of it delicious, arrived together. Generous portions, authentic flavours of home cooked Mexican food.My Chimi was stuffed with huge chunks of tender meat and smothered in a lovey spicy sauce.

Donât expect to wowed with flashing lights and shiny trinkets. But do expect fresh, hot and fast food. Ceviche, tacos and quesadillas we found delicious. The carnitas was our favorite. Weâd heard their salsa was to die for, but they didnât have any.
