The best tasting Italian weâve eaten at, bar none. Authentic Italian cuisine and a genuinely enthusiastic chef. We were looked after extremely well, our dishes explained and made just the way we liked them. Very accommodating to us and our children (11&9), they loved it. This experience earned our biggest tip ever. Grazie Mille

We often take our vistors for Breakfast to Maxim Diner, as the quantity and quality of the Breakfast is second to none. If we are feeling lazy we would pop into Maxim, for an evening meal, and once again the menu and quality are excellent. I often have a glass of wine to accompany the meal. The owner and his family are loverly warm people, who make you feel welcome. This is not the Ritz, its more, it serves quality food and a warm atmosphere, don`t expect candles and tableclothes, just expect good food and a warm welcome.

We went in a group of 9 for lunch, we had booked. The food was good but the service was decidedly odd. One of our group asked for a starter instead of a main dish which the rest of us were having but was told that this is was not allowed and she must order a main dish which she reluctantly did. The main dishes were very tasty and enjoyed by all..The waitress then offered us coffee but we said we would like to order desserts. She then told us they were busy so we could not order. though we could have coffee and then order afterwards! The restaurant was not full. We declined, paid our bill, left and went home for cake we purchased elsewhere and coffee!Hello dearAs I have already spoken to the lady who wanted the starter as a main course I explained why we don't give them, I know that some restaurants serve the same dish as starter and main unfortunately we don't but she was given the option to preorder it next time she will visit and we can do it for herFor the desserts she told me as well but she didn't know exactly what happened adahe didn't want anyway, The waitress came and asked me if she could take order for desserts so I told her to ask you first if you wanted any other drinks and if not then take deserts and a few minutes later she comes back to let me know that you wanted coffees but no desserts! So I don't know exactly what the problem was, please let me know if so you have our numberThank you Dora
