Reviews on Mediterranean food in St. Petersburg, Florida, United States. The sun almost always shines on St. Petersburg, the "Sunshine City" that enjoys an average of 361 days of clear skies per year. Combine that with 244 miles of glimmering coastline along Tampa Bay, the Gulf of Mexico, Boca Ciega Bay and the intra coastal waterways and you have one hot beach destination. Catch the sun, surf and sand at Ft. De Soto Park, or take a hike up the 37-mile Pinellas Trail. Enjoy a Devil Rays game during baseball season or escape to the shady oasis of the Sunken Gardens.

At the recommendation of several friends, we stopped by to visit this amazing market while in the area and were blown away! What an amazing market filled with everything imaginable. A wine and cheese room, bakery, coffee from all over the world...just to name a few! Superb!

After walking from a local Hotel for an early dinner we stumbled on Annata. It was just opening but quickly filled up. We ordered two appetizers the avocado toast and the muscles. We had to get more bread for dunking. I would say both are a â10â!! We then ordered the Chicken parmigiana and the rigatoni with meat sauce. Again both are â10â entrees. The service was very good. And the restaurant inside was very comfortable. I travel for a living and this is for sure one of my top 10 world wide picks. When you can eat your Chicken entree with just a fork you know itâs going to be amazing. Great food quality! Canât wait to get back to the area and try it again.

Acropolis in downtown St Pete is a beautiful location. Hosting two floors and patio seating upstairs and downstairs. A Greek and Mediterranean inspired menu that serves lunch and dinner and a unique Champagne Brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11am - 2pm.
We eat lunch at Acropolis Greek Taverna once every couple of years. Itâs not our favorite, but we get the urge for a Greek salad and it seems like the best place to go. We typically sit outside, but the sidewalk is crowded and not relaxing. The menu at AGT is extensive, and the food is reasonably good. But itâs just not a favorite place to eat. Perhaps we should go on a rainy day and sit inside.
