A very pleasant-looking place, an old stagecoach station - if a bit aggressively restored. We appreciated very much stuffed chicken and risotto with beetrots and fresh cheese (goat, maybe). The risotto managed to taste rich and intense by combining two mild, complementary flavours. The owner enthused about desserts from Domenico Spadafora, a famous patissier. We found them good, but less impressive than the main courses. All very pleasant except unclear rules for applying discounts, or so we felt. To be specific, the main courses we ordered were both in the day's specials (not discounted) and in the menu. We were told the discount applies to dishes in the menu, so we expected it. What a sad way to spoil a good experience.

We came here after a recommendation from a local friend. We were seated promptly and ordered their amazing hand cut prosciutto which was delicious. Our biggest problem is with their waitstaff's recommendation for lunch (for two of us). They have two massive combination plates- one featuring Osso Bucco and the other a gigantic veal cutlet...we ordered both and it was enough for four or five people? The food was good.....but....way way too much.

Damm-Atra' apparently means something like "listen to me", or "trust me" in some Italian dialect. Well, it is worth trusting them. If you want to eat traditional Milanese dishes, that's the place. In a warm, cosy restaurant, walls lined with wine-bottles, you can have delicious local dishes at a very reasonable price. It is far from the centre - along the Naviglio Grande, quite a bit from the Darsena - but worth a little detour. We had tasty simple starters, and the delicious signature risotto (saffron risotto with sausage and beans). Good selection of wines - especially local wines from Lombardy - and kind service.
