VERY nice bar-type atmosphere. Good service. A/C. Healthy food .... love the creative veggie tacos. They also ensure that the beans and rice are vegetarian. Left feeling great!

We stumbled upon their soft opening night. It was fabulous. We had empanadas followed by a delicious bean soup then a great Rice bowl dish. We were very full afterwards and everything was so tasty. Total cost for 2 of what was a 3 course meal was $30... so great deal and great food. We will be back and often.

This is the second time we ate at El Gato. The change was slight but noticeable. The chicken tasted processed and that ruined the dish. The Tostada was excellent but the chicken soft taco was lacking. When I first had this dish, it was excellent.Would I go again? Probably. The Flynn theatre is up and around the corner, so if we are seeing a show and need a decent meal close by, we would probably return. However, if the chicken dish is a let down again (I only eat chicken and fish) I will likely never return after that. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is good. They are attentive. The music is authentic which adds to the atmosphere.
