The restaurant decor was charming and the atmosphere warm. The food was excellent and nicely presented. The Canchanchara was the best I had in Cuba...with lots of tasty honey. The guy playing guitar was entertaining...and good...would never suspect that he retired from the Cuban Navy special forces.The only problem....was too full after the lunch!Muchas gracias por su comentario y elegirnos. They opened in 2012 and I have eaten there maybe a half a dozen times. The food is authentic Cuban food, no gimmicks, no fancy sauces, no changes to the recipes! They serve huge portions of food and prices that can't be beat!! Their prices are in Cuban pesos (not CUC), but can give you change in CUC. But you can eat a full meal and a beer for less than $5! The place is beautiful Cuban country style. Located on the rooftop of a home overlooking the main park/plaza of a cute little town. It is across from an old train station and less than 5 minutes to the Autopista Nacional. Very friendly staff. Has music videos and sometimes live music. Our taxi driver recommended this place , and I was a bit sceptical about it. I didn't know what to expect, but walaa, if you want something different that the place to visit. Did not mind that from the buffet you can only choose two kinds only. I'm not so much of a 'meat eater' and this was fine by me. The place is clean , trendy and mostly frequented by Cubans. Mingling with locals is by no means the best exposure and experience that you can have when visiting a country.
