I was treating my son and his girlfriend to a meal out and I have no experience of Japanese cuisine so was looking forward to my meal. The restaurant is small and crammed with tables. We had booked ahead. We were sat virtually on the doormat and when I asked to sit at the only other empty table, I was told it was booked. The waitress did not smile and was not welcoming in any way. It appeared to me that she didn't want to be there. The starters took a while to appear and the first 2 came and we had to wait 10 minutes for the third. No explanation or apology was given. No water was offered and when we asked for some, she brought one glass of water and we had to ask for the other 2 glasses. The main courses were brought out spread over 10 minutes. Again no explanation for the wait. We were the last to leave the restaurant and the waitress had disappeared by then so she did not thank us for our custom.I am used to eating in restaurants where the staff are welcoming and make you feel your custom is appreciated. The food was tasty but the experience was spoiled by the cramped tables and the poor service.

We will definitely be returning to try more dishes on the menu. Seemed to have lots of regular customers which is the best recommendation.

Inspired by fast-paced japanese ramen bars, wagamama offers a range of fresh, healthy dishes including ramen, donburi, teppanyaki, curries, salads and juices. wagamama encourages guests to share in their enthusiasm, slurp on noodles, relax in good company
I love going for lunch at wagamama as the menu really suits my taste. The Solihull branch has consistently tasty food. The food always tastes fresher here than any other Wagamama that I visit. Went recently with my sister and we both had the mushroom buns. I had a Kare Burosu Ramen and my sister had a Yasai Yaki Soba. Everything tasted delicious as usual. I am vegan and she is vegetarian and there is an extensive menu where we both have lots of options. We were served by Kiera who was extremely friendly which always makes the experience even more enjoyable! hi there, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this review. we're so pleased to hear that you loved our bursou ramen, it's such a tasty dish. we can't wait to tell kiera about your kind comments. we look forward to seeing you again soon.
