Rotherham /ˈrɒðrəm, -ðərəm/ ( listen) is a large town in South Yorkshire, England, which together with its conurbation and outlying settlements to the north, south and south-east forms the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham, with a recorded population of 257,280 in the 2011 census. Historically in the West Riding of Yorkshire, its central area is on the banks of the River Don below its confluence with the Rother on the traditional road between Sheffield and Doncaster. It was very busy when we visited, but we weren't waiting that long to be seated, and, as usual, was worth the wait. We were a party of 3, and ordered our hot food selection first, and busied ourselves sampling other dishes while waiting for them to arrive. On the whole it was excellent, however, some of the sushi rice was still warm on one of the dishes that I had, and our hot food arrived in fits & starts. My sons Katsu burger arrived first, then his fries 10 minutes later, then my Husbands Ramen 10 minutes after that & I had to ask where my Ramen had got too. I realise that things are made in stages, but the hot food does really need to be more cohesive so that a party is served together. Be warned not to get too carried away (my teenager has this habit!), as it can become quite expensive!Hello Claire J, we appreciate you taking the time to leave us this feedback. This is my second time at a Wagamama and I have to say I canât really enjoy it. The food and staff are really good but it wonât be my preferred choice. We had chicken chicken buns as an appetiser, then chicken ramen and chicken samla curry for mains. The chicken ramen was ok and felt like it was missing an ingredient to make it excellent. chicken Samla curry was really good. For drinks I had the positive drink which had spinach in it. It was good as in didnât taste too much of spinach in it.Mixed reviews from me. Will definitely go back to try the firecracker. Visiting Sheffield, i made a beeline to probably the best takeaway Sushi restaurant in the country.Freshly made to order for a good price by friendly helpfull staff.Only minor issue is that they are currently going cash-free, so must remember to take the plastic!Our team are very happy we can get customers travelling to Sheffield and enjoying our takeaway service. We have two more locations available as an option now if you do end up back in Sheffield. Our newest one is currently nearby city centre.
