There aren't many dependable places in the Pender Harbour area to eat at. This one is one of my favourites. It has a good selection of shushi and hot meals. I typically gravitate to one of the hot rice dishes... sometimes yakisoba but mostly the beef or chicken donburi. I find the yakisoba a bit hit and miss, especially where the salt content is concerned. The first time I went there the yakisoba was way too salty, but the most of the subsequent times it has been very good. The donburi is more consistent. One time I went in and ordered and they were asking me about options, and I said "whatever it typically comes with is fine" So they served me an appetizer too, but half way through eating it, they ran over and took it away saying, "you did not order that". Now, come on people, the restaurant made the error, it was half eaten (and quite good), but they simply threw it away. Why???So apart from that bit of idiosyncrasy, it is a very nice lunch place with limited tables and in my experience and characteristic of the area, somewhat unpredictable hours.

My first time here.A nice spacious dining room. Service is quick and efficient... even with a smile from some of the staff.I ordered the Rainbow Roll.... tastes quite yummy, but it's only a california roll with a few slabs of sashimi rolled around it....so >$10 seems excessive IMHO.All in all: Don't drive miles just to get here, but don't avoid it either.
