We've been exploring the restaurants around the bottom of the lake from us & were hoping Rice Box would become a regular given the huge menu. Service was very strange...one woman seemed very bothered, almost hostile, while another was very friendly. Food was average, unfortunately. Does not measure up to the stuff in Huntersville.

Moved behind Midtown and Showmars. 26 booths/tables seating 104. Waiting line upon arrival at 6:15 pm ~ 15'. Plenty of wait staff and table clearing staff. Painted concrete floor gets slippery, esp. when parents feeding kids drop food on floor. Ordered the soba noodles and crab tempura. Tempura delayed ~ 10' after soba noodles. Upon arrival crab freshly prepared, hot and crispy, some tempura missing as crab cut in kitchen for plating. Taste was fresh and good. Accompanied by gari and wasabi. No alcohol license yet, had Coca Cola product. Kyley was efficient, friendly and knew menu. Worth a visit.
