We just showed up without a reservation and had to sit at the bar stools. But they soon found us a table. The staff were all professional and helpful. The food is extremely good. We where tempted by the wood fired pizza but chose the duck.We also ordered a garlic bread which turned out to be a pizza. Unless you have several people I would not suggest it. It is excellent but we ate a bit too much and struggled with the mains.Thank you for taking time to review your experience with us at Francesca's. We will always try to accommodate customers without a reservation and I'm glad to hear we were able to find you a table. Our Garlic Flat Bread is popular among many and is indeed excellent! We are always happy to pop it into a takeaway box if you're too full! Thank you again, we look forward to seeing you next time. Grazie Mille.

We are based in the vibrant night spot of Post Office Lane. The Cow Wanaka is famed for its pizzas and spaghettis but it is our garlic loaf starter that really impresses. So why not come on down and enjoy the warmth of our open fire in the winter and our
Had 2 marvellous family dinners here in June. Delicious pizzas. Generous pasta serves. Garlic cob was sensational. Take the kids to this family friendly hideaway. Difficult to find with Google maps as its tucked behind street front shops. Wonderful and inviting fireplace. A must go!It was a pleasure to have you at The Cow Wanaka on two seperate occasions within such a short space of time, and we are thrilled that you had such a good time the first time round that you brought the family back again for a second. Thank you for leaving us such a positive review, we hope to see you in again soon.

Francesca's Pizzas is a mobile wood fire pizza trailer located along Brownston Street in the town centre. It is part of a food truck scene in that area, situated in a small cluster with a couple of outdoor tables and a fire pit where you can keep warm while your food orders are being prepared. Opening hours are 4-9pm daily. We stopped by one evening our recent stay in Wanaka. Francesca's keeps things simple, offering up two sizes of 5-6 different pizza types. We enjoyed watching them prepare and bake our Pepperoni pizza in a wood fired oven. Our pizza was served up in just in no more than 10 minutes and we were ready to return to our hotel to enjoy. We found our pizza from Francesca's was rather decent. We enjoyed the venison pepperonis. Cheese, arugula an other toppings were ok. Crust was softer than we like but not bad. Overall, the pizza was good, nothing amazing but perhaps better than what one might expect in a small town in South Island. On that basis, we'd return to Francesca's for another pizza during future visits to Wanaka.
