As a couple, we went out for a meal at GianBiaz on a Friday night.Parking - street parking only. No car park.Reception - warmly received and shown to our table.Restaurant - clean, pleasant atmosphere / ambience but possibly a bit cramped when busy.Service - friendly and helpful with food served at sensible intervals.Food - hot and tasty. My partner's Funghi Carozza (antipasti) was very small and she does not have a large appetite but her lemon sole was excellent (ignoring the price tag of £18.95!). The bread served with the Pane Fresco (sharers) was as good as its gets - delicious. The Insalata Gamberoni (prawn cocktail) would have been very enjoyable if it had consisted of a few more prawns (it had 3 king prawns) and a lot less salad. It was my fault for ordering the Cannelloni Ripieni as a main course but I found it far too rich. We did not have desserts.Value for money - my main advice is to keep an eye on what you are ordering or extras you are being offered and their price. It soon adds up! Two of us went in for an evening meal and spent £75 without noticing it. Items like a small Rose wine at £7, a beer at £6, a small bowl of chunky chips at £3.95 and two small lattes at £6.50 don't help. The Bill unfortunately marred the experience and would prevent this from ever being a regular occurrence. There is no need for a meal to be this expensive.Would we return - probably not. We like to go out once a week and when you can have a very nice meal out for £40 - £50, why spend so much more.

A hidden gem in Northampton, right across the road from Ibis Hotel. Beautiful food from a small and independent family-like business, complete with Italian & Czech beers on tap. With nice fresh food.
It was really cold outside, in fairness it felt like we were sat outside. We moved table, but it didn't really help. It was 7.30pm on a Saturday and there were just 2 other tables occupied. The food was nice home cooking, nothing fancy. We all ate our main. We had a main each, some bread and one drink each and it was £64. If your visiting, make it a summer visit.
