Original wood fired Neapolitan pizza! Viipurintie 61, Imatra. Open Tue -Sun 13:00 - 21:00. Take away also available.
Great Napoli style, authentic, pizza. Visited there as were we around the area. Picked up pizzas and ate elsewhere. This is one man pizzeria, keep on mind that. Service is not fastest, call and order and pick up, I would recommend. Pizza is fried on wood oven, so you can get real thing and flavor. Pizza is Napoli style, so keep also that on mind. Base of pizza is an excellent, but as mentioned Napoli style, not like often thin and crisp. Nice and soft, but thin and nice to bite. Flavor has nice smokiness, as it is fried in real wood oven with fire in. We ate 3 pizzas and all were good. Some pizzas were not available, as he did not have correct cheese available at that time. I can recommend this place. Make a stop there, if you are driving to road number 6 to north or south, good place to have a break. They do not sell alcohol as the restaurant do not hold an license.

This pleasant restaurant is located near the Valtionhotelli. This time, we decided to order Roman artisan pizzas which had a little bit odd texture. After this experience, we prefer traditional thin Neapolitan pizzas. The service was friendly.
