My husband and I have been here a couple times, admittedly our visits have been few and far between but every time we have come the food has been great. Tonight was no exception. I had the chicken marsala, my husband had the New York strip. Both were fantastic and the service was on point. The only reason I've given 4 instead of 5 stars is because there was an odd smell in the restaurant. It wasn't a smell of bad food, I think it was a residual cleanser sent, so I only mention it cautiously. I definitely recommend eating here. Subsequently, if you're a fan of some of the Vintage classic cocktails, you might be happy to know that a Gimlet is actually listed on their menu. That's one of my favorites, so I was quite pleased. :-)

Aubree's Pizzeria & Grill

The Aubree's story begins in 1972, when Bill and Sandee French opened a little corner bar in Depot Town, Ypsilanti. Throughout the years, Aubree's has grown into the full service restaurants we are today. We not only want to exceed your expectations of qu

First enjoyed this restaurant shortly after it opened several years ago. Travel and timing such that this was the first time I could revisit. It was great then. It is TERRIFIC now.It was 3:00 in the afternoon, so service and attention were excellent. Aubree's is open, spacious and clean. For pizza and grills, the menu is loaded. Prices are moderate and potions are more than generous. I started with a bloody mary - highly recommend (first time I have ever been asked what brand of Vodka I wanted with the mix). My wife had the BLT pizza - yes, you read that right. She found it delightfully satisfying. I had a calzone, with the five blends of cheese, which was probably one of the finest I have ever enjoyed. The crust was amazing. The calzone and pizzas have some 25 different ingredient choices for adding to your order. Talk about customizing to your preference.Would heartily recommend Aubree's to anyone traveling in the area. We'll certainly work our timing to make this a more frequent stop.Hello! Went there with hubby, Saturday night-had a reservation. Neighbor recommended this restaurant but warned me that they changed tables twice because they were cold, manager did finally turn up the heat for her. My experience was similar, we were seated across from the door and rather than change tables just sat with coat in my lap the whole time. Problem with this being a former coney. Anyway I highly recommend the New England clam chowder. Unfortunately it was on special so don’t know if they have it all the time. It was hot and delicious. My husbands steak was good but my eggplant parmigiana was not very good. We waited almost an hour for the main course after soup, salad an bread. We were told that the manager wasn’t pleased with the way it was cooked and wanted it to be perfect-well not even close. The eggplant was tough and served on a bed of spaghetti leaving the whole meal tasting like ordinary spaghetti that I can cook at home. The calamari was ok. I guess my benchmark for Italian food is Giovanni’s and this doesn’t come close. Given the $40.00 price tag for an 8 oz filet, the chilly temperature of the restaurant, the disappointing parmigiana and the extended wait time for the main course I don’t think we will return. Wanted to like it, too bad.
