Chef owned and operated, bringing you authentic made from scratch Italian cuisine. Many of our ingredients are sourced locally to be able to offer you the freshest ingredients available.Beautiful setting in a building from the 1800's.
Expectations were set based on how they describe themselves in their website. How delightful it would be to have a high quality family owned Italian spot in Gorham! The good: staff is friendly, and woman who seemed to be the owner was attentive. Pasta is home made. The cioppino was good - lots of seafood and broth had lots of tomato chunks. Eggplant parm had lots of layers and was tasty. The not so good: Soup of the day was tomato. Nothing special about it. The lasagna was just cheese and red sauce, so kind of bland, it did not do the homemade noodles justice. Decor could use freshening - and definitely toss the plastic bread, fake glasses of wine and big bowls of corks. Nonnas would do itself a big favor by calling itself what it is and executing that well - a red sauce joint. Itâs perfectly okay to be that - but not okay to set peopleâs expectations with prices worthy of a higher caliber meal and experience. It is unfortunate that you did not enjoy your experience with us, although I am happy you found the cioppino and the eggplant to be good. I will note that our "decor" is based on our space having the original tin walls, ceilings and woodwork from the 1800's,as well as many family pictures. We offer many dishes with red sauce, a sauce we take a lot of pride in, along with many other dishes and use the highest quality ingredients in all of them Many of our ingredients are locally sourced as well. We were voted the best Italian Restaurant in New Hampshire last year and have a 4.5 rating on both Tripadvisor and Google (out of 5) as well as a 4.9 rating on Facebook (out of 5). It would appear a lot of folks feel we are are meeting or exceeding their expectations. Feel free to read through the reviews. Our family has been in this business our whole lives and we fully realize that we will not please every individual. It is unfortunate that we apparently were not able to please you. I hope you will continue to visit our area and perhaps will find a local restaurant here that can satisfy your needs. Ciao!

We scooped a large pizza for take out and it did the trick. The sauce, crust and cheese were solid, but the pizza was undercooked and a bit soggy in the middle. I didnât hate it, but it wouldnât be my first choice.

You don't ever have to eat frozen pizza again. Mary's Pizza in Gorham, New Hampshire, specializes in homemade pizza, pasta, sandwiches, authentic Italian dinners for dine in or take out. We have a great menu* selection, for dinner and lunch. In addition,
Service was excellent but the server was always racing even though the restaurant was nearly empty. Cheese pizza- boring, little flavor or spices, kind of hard, uninspiring, not like the Mary's pizza we remember- Grade C. Steak Sub 'Special'- this is a wish sub, wish you had meat rather than a garnish of teensy curled meat flakes about 1/4" in size, many bites of the sandwich had no evidence of meat at all, just loaded with cheese. The fries were good! Grade D. We will not return.
