Established in 2006, O'Toole's Irish Pub in Brandon is our piece of Ireland on Hwy 60. Serving great homemade food, extensive draft beer selection and good service in a family atmosphere. A soccer lover's dream with all live Champions league, Premiership
Having been here last year, we decided to stop in for a return visit as we drove towards the east coast. The facility has a nice atmosphere/vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating. Inside is a familiar and comfortable setting with lots of warm wood and plenty of tables in different sections. Up for darts? They have two boards available for a throw. The bar is quite nice as well with ample seating and displays their on tap brews as well as the Irish whiskey offerings. As with our first visit, the bartender was friendly and attentive. Our hydration from the tap included pints of Guinness and Angry Orchard. The pints were well poured. We had a snack if their onion straws (not sure of their trade name) and they were good. Decent selection of pub grub but canât comment on those items... yet.Bottom line? If I lived in the area I would be a frequent visitor as it provides a comfortable surrounding and a well poured pint of the Black Stuff.

SO, there were 6 of us looking for a place to get a glass of beer and sit and talk for an hour. O'Brien's was the closest place around. We were going to sit inside, but they were doing some kind of Trivia game contest -- way too loud to have talked at all.We went to their outside bar area, which was better from a noise level. But for a summer July evening in Florida, they did not have enough fans blowing to keep us from sweating.None the less, we did sit around and enjoyed a couple of beers each and had some food to eat. Their home made chips were great. I had a Reuben sandwich that hit the spot. We learned that they have two styles of fish & chips -- the more popular one or their "classic" version which is less oily. Definitely go with their "classic"!I tasted their side of coleslaw, and that rated a two thumbs down.On the other hand, we had a top notch person serving us. I think her name is Micha (sp?).

This is my 2nd visit to the Forge. The first visit was a disaster because(as the owner explained) half of the staff called in sick and they were woefully understaffed. The owner made up for the deficiencies and asked us to come back to try again. Our last visit service was prompt, helpful and professional. The food was excellent( the burger and fries cooked to perfection) and my fiancéâs wings was moist and tasty.I appreciate when an owner acknowledges problems, makes up for those problems, corrects the problems and enhances his time restaurant for future visits..A must go to in Brandon.
