Having dined at the Hovell Bar & Grill many times over the past 6 years, it has been the friendly service and consistently great food that draws us back each time. As a customer I crave these qualities and unfortunately many restaurants tend not to provide the same great experience at the next visit ... happily, the Hovell Bar & Grill have maintained consistently high standards over the years. Since our last visit 2 years ago it was evident that a staff change over had occured; my past experience with this situation has normally seen a drop in standards (food & service), this was not the case and can report that the meals and service were awesome. We stayed at the Wellington, right next door, so figured this as good a place for breakfast as the next place. Well, what a pleasant surprise! Friendly table service, excellent coffee and a lovely breakfast that didnât break the bank. Attended for a work Xmas party having never been here before. I was pleasantly surprised. Lovely facilities, staff very accommodating with last minute menu requests. Food was delicious.The only criticism is that drinks service was a bit slow.Overall a great spot.We're so glad you had a great night, thank you for choosing our venue.
