Good for a typical breakfast, friendly staff. Rustic atmosphere, that serves good food. Not sure about the river part, as one would be expecting it to be next to a river or at least have a view. Starting off a memorable and Romantic Weekend Getaway in Port Alfred (in celebration of our Anniversary), we had Dinner at The Thistle. With excellent service - warm & dedicated, impeccable setting & ambiance, fine food and sparkling champagne (non-alcoholic), we had indeed a memorable dining experience.
