Restaurant U Svateho Ducha

Most is the city which usually does not attract travellers at all. However when you drive on the main road between Teplice and Chomutov there is very nice early 16th century church which was moved on rails ( yes, it was put on rails and moved ! ) by more than 800m away due to the enlargement of the coal mine. Amazing technical rarity ! Right next to the old church there is a restaurant U Svateho Ducha ( Holy Ghost ).It offers very good food and vine as well at reasonable prices in very nice ambient served by very friendly waiters. The vision of the owners is to boos the level of dining in Most. And I thing they are successful. Although the restaurant is away from the regular traffic it is indeed worth visiting. You can combine good food and technical rarity in one place !

Ponorka was featured in Czech's version of "Hell's kitchen" with Zdeněk Pohlreich (and awarded with a star). And they deserve it!Great food, good service (well above average for Czech standarts) and a nice menu. The interior of the restaurant is nice as well. Suitable for groups as well as families or couples. We had the beef bouillon and carlic soup (great!) for starters. Followed by one of the best beef tartars I've had in the past months (really top notch!), a salad and the children's chicken dish. All were very good. The only downside was the salad, which was 'drowning' in the dressing.Good Chardonnay and Zlatopramen non-alcoholic beer. The total bill was around 650,- for 2 soups, 3 meals, a few drinks and tips for the good service, a fair price.
