If you happen to drive along the western shore of the Lake Ammer near Munich, for instance on the way to visit the baroque church of Diessen, be sure to make a stop a few Kilometers before Diessen in Riederau. Here a true jewel is located directly by the water front overlooking the lake. The food is excellent, a choice of local and French food. The proprietor of the restaurant is a French cook. Essenâs art is set in a lovely area of Diessen a short walk from the lake. The menu is full of hearty Bavarian food and served in a nice modern environment, with nice airy decor. Staff are friendly and the food is served quickly. Only downsides are that two dishes we chose were sold out and despite clearly seeing a credit card machine, we were to,d that only cash was accepted...

Schönes gemütliches Restaurant in der Ammersee-Gegend, jedoch nicht direkt am See gelegen. Dafür ein kulinarisches Erlebnis und herzlich-freundliche Atmosphäre. Lohnt sich! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!
