Dropped in for a bar snack and a drink for 3 of us. We were not offered the snack menu, but when it was presented we discovered it was limited to just 4 sandwich choices. Mine was ham and piccalilli in brown bread. I was served thick slices of fat, with a minimum of meat, drowned in piccalilli liquid - result was the bread disintegrated and the 'ham' was hardly edible and the meal could only be eaten with a knife and fork. Not a good choice by either the chef, nor myself. 2 other, slightly better, sandwiches with 2 small house wines and a pint of lager came to about £35. I'm afraid it wasn't, for me, value for money.Hello Vanninman,Thank you for your feedback from your recent visit with us at lunchtime. We've recently changed to our Summer menu and are always happy to take our guests feedback on board to assure we are always serving the good stuff. Since reading your thoughts on our Hamhock Sandwich we have changed the recipe and we now offer the Homemade Piccalilli on the side.We hope you will come back at try our Summer Menu again, our evening menu has some delicious seasonal dishes we are sure you will enjoy. Thanks again,The Richard Onslow Team

We had a great Saturday out with friends eating at this pub. Danny and his team were all responsive to our needs. (For example, we wanted to share a Baked Camembert but one of us was gluten-free. Happily they supplied gluten-free bread to go with the normal fare.) Very friendly atmosphere and they welcome dogs. Will be back again soon!

Open ON BOOKINGS ONLY all day Sundays & Mondays and for lunch Tuesdays to Thursdays! The coziest, tiniest pub/restaurant in Guildford. So small that is mostly working on âbookings onlyâ. We do it all with Passion! Italian Passion! We're simple, casual and
Externally the pub looks fantastic and the flowers looked after. I ordered a 3 Guinness and it tasted off. Also one person in the group had battered bread with some very old salami it tasted awful and charged £12.Hi guys.I did not see this coming to be honest, considering a few of your friends are regulars eaters at the pub and come so often to enjoy my homemade food. Obviously wasnât you!You had a lot more than 3 Guinness, considering it was a pub crawl! And I did not get any leftover in any glass! Really weird! Your friend order whatever was quick because you needed to move to the next pub and that was a platter with amazing traditional coccoli with Tuscan salami, which I get fresh from italy every week. If he did not understand it was bread I can even get that and apologise if the explanation wasnât fair enough to be understood, but he should have told me and I was going to fix making something else. Saying that tho, how are you complaint for food you did not even buy or taste yourself? Iâm shocked by how you guys are managing pub crawls nowadays.Maybe next time, come and complaint to me instead of wasting time writing on here for an experience which is not even fair to measure the quality of my restaurant pub.
