Endlich hat jemand das alte Schulgebäude gekauft und bewirtschaftet es mit Herzblut. Viele Pächter-Wechsel in der Vergangenheit waren nicht schön. Es wird eine bodenständige schwäbische Küche geboten. Alles kommt schnell und es gibt kaum etwas auszusetzen. Ein Ausrufezeichen setzt einer der Köche, der aus Indien kommt. Eine indische Ingwer-Curry-Suppe vor einem Rostbraten hatte Charme (auch wenn der Rostbraten eher durchschnittlich war). Man muss vielleicht den anfänglichen "Hype" abwarten und sehen, wie sich alles entwickelt. Geschultes Personal wäre dann auch eine feine Ergänzung.

We visited Besigheim with my family recently and ended up at Markwirtschaft for a late lunch. The restaurant is housed inside a classic fachwerkhaus which has been very tastefully renovated inside. The result is a great mix of old and new. It's elegant but comfortable. The food was also a nice mix of classic German cooking with a modern twist. My rostbraten with sweet onions which came with spätzle and fresh vegetables was delicious, as was my wife's artichoke gnocchi and my daughter's Mediterranean salad. Our friend had a special pork cutlet that was also excellent. They also had some very interesting beer selections, including a double bock from a local brewery. All in all I'd highly recommend Markwirtschaft, even if you're traveling with children. Besigheim is also well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Fuimos a cenar en grupo con gente de muchos paises distintos. El menú era "pactado" pero deja entrever una gran calidad de producto y el "toque" de un chef a la vez creativo y muy meticuloso.Toda la cena fue un total éxito y de agrado para todos los paladares, y personalmente, tengo muchas ganas de volver a este restaurante; seguro que no defrauda.Los vinos, me han gustado todos, en especial el "rosado" local con un perfume y equilibrio con algo de frecura; muy agradable.El servicio, nada que decir, a la altura de las circunstancias.Raras veces disfrute de una cena de "empresa" tanto como en este lugar, donde cada plato era muy agradable, y nada "recargado" como en demasiados lugares en esta zona.Un restaurante muy recomendable.
