Reviews on International food in Assisi, Province of Perugia, Italy. Best known as the birthplace of St. Francis, Italy's patron saint, Assisi lies amid Umbria's rolling hills. Religious pilgrims have come here for centuries to visit the Basilica of San Francesco (where St. Francis is buried) and the Basilica of Santa Chiara (to see the tomb of St. Clare). Visit the Eremo delle Carceri to see caves where medieval hermits withdrew from the world. (You may find such solitude quite appealing—especially if you're here on a daytrip from Rome!)

"Umami" is the fifth taste. "Umami" means tasty. Umami Beer is an independent resto-pub dedicated to craft & quality beers and to regional products of excellence. Umami beer is an unusual place where "the Taste" wins over everything. The restaurant is sim
After two weeks of pasta and pizza in Italy we needed a break and umami said they had micro brews and burgers. They are right near the edge of town and easy to access. Parking on site and across the street. We arrived around 7:40 pm on a Sunday and were seated anywhere we wanted. Even though we speak some Italian the servers spoke English and were very polite and considerate. They have 8-9 beers on tap from blondes, triple ipaâs, lagers and a coffee stout. Also have dozens of beers in bottle as well as mixed drinks. Burgers are original and come in stuffed or unstuffed categories w/ bun or without. I had a double ipa and it wasnât too hoppy. Very good. Burger was enormous and delicious. The co-owner, Luca, checked in on us a couples times. Heâs very nice and appreciative of your business. We watched him help with orders, bussing tables, seating people, but most of all he interacted with guests smiling and making sure they were ok. Loved this place and highly recommend. We would like to thank you for writing such a detailed review. You will be our very welcomed guests next time you come to Assisi :)

We heard about this new place weeks ago before it actually opened. The restaurant has a contemporary, fun vibe thanks to the funky and colourful interiors. Food: Fusion Korean / Mexican - sounds odd but itâs actually great. The Chef sapiently mixes the cuisines and high quality ingredients to surprise in the best way possible. They presented us with a complimentary entrée which was greatly appreciated and tasty. Then we opted for a Tapas Tagliere with a selection of daily street food specials along with the special Arancini of the day - absolutely divine. I then ordered a fried chicken main course which came with rise, homemade nachos and sauces. A cool blend of East and West. This is enough to fill you up but we also had to try the Green Tea Tiramisu. I liked it but maybe not for all. No coffee, no eggs, super soft and yummy but it may disappoint Tiramisu fanatics. Another highlight was the Soju Rita drink: Korean sake meets an upside down Corona. Definitely worth trying. Highly recommended for a different, fun night out. Great friendly service and overall atmosphere.
