This place stands out from rest of the Indian restaurants in the Reston-Herndon area. It is unique in the sense that itâs buffet items are not self serve. They have a printed menu for the buffet at the tables and they bring the food to the table. So it is full service that way. However, more than this unique feature, the food tastes really good. Other pros are the staff is quite friendly and the style of serving ensures there is minimum wastage of food.Because of the popularity of the place among the thousand Indian office goers within the 3 mile radius, it is best if you reach after 1:15 to avoid the crowd and the slow service during the peak hours.Overall, a bit pricey but great food.

Tried Paradise for their weekend lunch buffet. Place was packed - obviously very popular. Decent food, but not welcoming for anyone not intimately familiar with the dishes being served. Buffet items were simply ID'd by yellow sticky pad notes on the glass (no description of contents, or even what was vegetarian....). 2/3 of the people working the lunch buffet looked quite put-out by the fact that they were there. Don't see a return visit in our future, despite the Trip Advisor reviews (which got us there in the first place).

Tom Sietsma was right. Chef invested in place and decor not food nor service nor table setting. Ambitious menu mediocre meal. The receptionist stared at her phone all evening while several gentlemen appearing to be waiters hung around bar at back. Only 8 people in restaurant on a Saturday night at 7:30pm. And yes, the chargers with Bombay Velvet in script were removed before I was able to open my napkin. Ordered the cheese mushrooms and chicken skewers as appetizers. THey arrive and waiter has to move everything around because platters are too big to fit onto a 30" round table more serviceable for coffee and croissants. The food was good but presentation lacking. The Special Naan recommended by waiter came burned. Sent back and second one came out burned. Waste of 5 bucks. Dinner was seared scallops with peanut sauce and the lobster malai curry. 3 scallops is not dinner! We also asked for an order of raita only to find out it came with my husband's meal. The waiter argued with my husband over wine. Claimed he had been a sommelier at Chez Francois...questionable as we do not remember him and we go there often. And never get into an argument with a customer. The food was good - just not enough for a dinner meal. The Mumbai Don in Love cocktail was one of the better gin drinks I have had. But, I was asked 3 times if I was finished and there was still alcohol in the glass.Stick to your favorite local Indian restaurants!
