Four of us visited Kontrast on a Sunday afternoon in mid-June, and we all came away with very positive feelings about their food. We shared a variety of items, the Chicken Tikka, a chickpea-based veggie dish, and a spinach-based veggie dish. We ordered up some garlic-naan bread and a few glasses of beer as well. The flavors and spicing on each dish was perfect, and the food was plentiful. Our waiter, Rohit, was very helpful and conversive; he was also extremely funny. The only thing keeping me from rating this restaurant at a 5 level was the fact that it did take us quite a while to get our food. It was a Sunday afternoon and there were very few people in the restaurant, but for some reason the food was slow to appear. All-in-all though, it was a very enjoyable experience. We sat out on the plaza, which was very nice.

Very nice, warm place to get really good indian food. We had made a reservation, and its recommended, because it's very popular. Startede with papadam and samosa, and ordered Chicken tikka masala and Vindaloo for main courses. The waitress was very kind to inform, that vindaloo is very spicy and we might be able to handle it. Starters was good, but the naan bread we ordered was too much. One is enough for 2 persons. My chicken tikka masala was really good and creamy with perfect steamed rice. My wife got vindaloo and it was SPICY, but she was prepared. A place to recommend, if you want really good indian food.

My wife and I enjoyed a trip to Kerala a few years ago and became particularly fond of one dish which is ubiquitous there: masala dosa. We even took a cooking class to learn to make it. Our efforts produce something like, but it was a wonderful to discover the real thing at the South Indian! Excellent dosas! Complete with sambhar - including the curious "drumstick" vegetable - and three chutneys. They have other dishes too including idli and biryani - probably very good. Too cap the meal we always enjoy an excellent mango lassi. Hello! Thank you so much for your review. We are very happy to know that you thouroughly enjoyed our dosas. We hope to see you again, so you can try our other dishes as well!
