I have been visiting this restaurant every year for 6 years and have always found the food to be wonderful, However, this year it was all just spicy hot with no variation from mild to hot. My daughter loves chicken korma. This should be delicious and mild but it was extremely spicy. We returned it and they did another one that was just as spicy....she couldn't eat it so we gave up and bought her McDonalds on the way home.If you love hot, spicy indian food, you will love this place. Don't order anything indian for children though, order the fish and chips for them. We were disappointed.

We dined at Origin India on the basis of its # 2 rating of Geraldton restaurants and that we love Indian food. Win-win, you'd think. Not quite. The restaurant certainly presents well, with a quite a large dining area, comfortable seating and well spaced tables. Service was more iffy. The young waitress was tentative and still appeared to be learning the ropes. Our curries (lamb dhansak and channa marsala) were OK if a little bland. We had plumped for the 'medium' spice level, which in reality means that no chili was detectable at all. Presumably this was to cater to for local sensitivities; if we were to ever return would ask the spice level be put up another notch (or two). Our curries were a reasonable size but thought the dish of rice was small (for two). Of course, when we ran out and asked for more we were charged for a second rice. The days of the old 'bottomless' pot of rice in Asian restaurants seem to have gone from many places - though am pleased to say the practice lives on at our local Thai eatery.

My Partner and I went here for dinner on a Friday evening, we had Butter Chicken, Apricot Chicken and Garlic Naan Bread with some Ciders - Delicious! Fantastic meal.Staff were very pleasant, happy and polite. The only downside may have been that nobody else had come in to eat while we were there.Can't wait to have dinner here again!
