I wanted to surprise my wife by trying this restaurant for the first time. After reviewing the many excellent reviews I thought this would be a winner. Thursday is Schnitzel day here but, unfortunately, we both ordered Schnitzel on a Friday. We were ready for a complete meal with wine and dessert but that did not happen. I started with the curry corn chowder and was just excellent. Could not be better!! The downer was the fact that we both ordered the Schnitzel. The potato was ok and the red cabbage wonderful. Next, we tried to eat the Schnitzel. Mine was over cooked and tasteless and so hard to cut. I figured if I have to pay for this I'll just slice away and finish the entree. My wife on the other hand, tried to cut the pork but it was not going to be easy. She made several attempts and tried two small pieces and stopped eating. Her entree was not just overcooked but the bottom was burned. When it was time to leave the waiter asked if we wanted to take the remainder of the meal home we replied that the meat was already overcooked and forget bout a reheat at home. This a disappointment for us as we were really looking for a nice place for lunch and dinners at a later time. When we were seated there were only two other tables being served so the kitchen crew were not too pressed for serving. I have read four other reviews finding out that they also had overcooked Schnitzel.I am so sorry to read that you did not enjoy your meal here. In regards to other review stating the same issue, it is one of our more popular dishes with very few complaints, but there are times where we do not hit the mark or live up to our guests expectations in which case we would offer to remake the dish or offer something else. I would have loved the chance to make you and your wife another schnitzel that was more prepared to your liking. I was not aware of any such issue until I read the review. Please let me know if you decide to dine with us again and I will make sure that you have the wonderful dining experience that we are known for.Thank you,Jeanette Quintana

I'd always assumed that "health food" had to taste like cardboard, and my few past tastes of it elsewhere pretty well confirmed my assumption. But then I was in the store for other reasons and could not resist the aroma of the the lunch specials and soups at the Healing Zone. I'm hooked now for lunch; the food is wonderful as well as being very healthy. And they have a very berry smoothie that is super and starting to change my opinion of smoothies as well. (Will drinking health-food smoothies cost me my man-card?)
