This small, charming family driven bar/restaurant is ok if You are on a tight budget.I can only assume that it became number one in town, due to "good value for money" or friends of the house...This place might be the best "value for money" joint in town but is not anywhere near the best restaurant. They haven't got a wine list and the menu was written on a piece of paper. Ensalada de presa was good, and the other dishes ok.Daughter was serving, mother cooking and father in the bar (not on the customer side...)If on a tight budget, and You want a cold beer - check it out.If You want a nice meal, and a good bottle of wine served from the wine fridge, then look elsewhere...

This review is for the Manzano in Plaza Marques as opposed to the sister establishment on Avenida Reina de los Angeles, neither of which are shown in the proper location on the Trip Advisor map.We ate here on several occasions trying many of the generously portioned tapas priced from 2 to 3.5euro with most coming with a few chips and a piece of bread. The Carrillada (pigs cheeks) were our favourite but the albondigas and tortilla were also selected several times. Given the quality of the tapas we ordered a half portion of 5J Jamon following a visit to the Museo del Jamon where we had learned about the different grades and that 5J is the best - truly delicious. All of the staff were excellent and there was one gent in particular who was really friendly to everyone (and not in a false tip hunting way) and lit the place up. The staff didn't speak English and our Spanish was woefully inadequate but they were very patient and we all seemed to know what each other was saying. The red wine we had was 12euro per bottle and the white 10 with a generous shot of brandy 2euro.We didn't try any main dishes as the tapas was ample for us but what was coming out to other tables looked delicious.
