Had dinner with our 3 grandchildren "kids eat free" our food came at all different stages, so we just started eating, staff seemed confused and my mushroom stack was tasteless and burnt, my husbands "stuffed" chicken was NOT stuffed and my son's steak was absolutely NOT 300gr, the kids got a free paddle pop which they liked, we live in The Bay but won't be back.We do apologize for your unsatisfactory first experience at Rockpools Café Bar & Function Centre. Unfortunately we were experiencing technical difficulties with our ordering and EFTPOS systems leaving our staff distracted in fixing this issue. I can assure you all staff have had adequate training and have all had experience working in the Hospitality Industry. In regards to your meals, I can understand that you would be unhappy with something that you have ordered and received something that you were not quite expecting, however our âGrilled Chicken Breastâ is slightly stuffed with the ingredients listed on our menu. These ingredients are cooked and half placed in the Grilled Chicken Breast leaving it sitting on top for a more presentable meal. All our Scotch Fillets are cut and weighed to measurement by our Head Chef, the Open Mushroom Stack is topped with feta and goats cheese, char grill vegetables then drizzled with Spanish vinegar and served with a tomato salsa. Given that all these ingredients are very flavorsome on their own I do apologise if you found it tasteless. As the mushroom is served with char grilled vegies this may have given you the impression that it was burnt. Iâm glad that the children enjoyed the free Paddle Pop which that and a small beverage of choice comes with our Kids Meals. Itâs rather upsetting that you are Local and have decided not to return to Rockpools Café Bar & Function Centre, as our local people are very important to us. Tried this little shop today for lunch and was assisted by a helpful, friendly staff member. Chose freshly made sandwiches and a super Banana & Berry smoothie. Chose this smoothie as it was made on skim milk, yoghurt and fruit...very tasty! yum!Nearby is Donut King and Wendy's who also make 'smoothies', but wanted to try 'Go Fresh' and so happy we did!

We never visited them in the past but having noticed they are serving Dukes coffee we went in. The organic blend of Dukes is excellent and the piccolos were very prepared. Will for sure be back during our next visit of Port Stephens
